Shoot Boxing Announces Girls S-Cup 2011
Four champions, one Girls S-cup title.
2010 Girls S-Cup champ RENA (15-3-1) will try to repeat as she faces Shoot Boxing women’s champ Ai Takahashi, Valkyrie MMA champ Mei Yamaguchi, and WPMF & WMC mini flyweight world champion Erika Kamimura at SHIBUYA-AX in Tokyo Japan Aug. 19.
The soon-to-be 20 year old RENA defeated Takahashi in last year’s final, but Takahashi defeated RENA in a rematch June 5, winning the Shoot Boxing women’s title.
Valkyrie champ Yamaguchi is a veteran of the Girls S-Cup, and is currently ranked #3 in the 115 pound division of the Women’s MMA Unified Rankings.
Kamimura, who is only 19, has gather several titles around the world, including Italian two-time J-Girls World Queen Tournament, and had beaten RENA in an exhibition match in April. She holds an impressive record of 18-1 in kickboxing.
The winner of the Girls S-Cup will represent Japan in the World S-Cup tournament in 2012.
